TCI Infrastructure
TCI Infrastructure is a company that specialises in implementing
and consulting on large-scale infrastructure projects in Europe
and the Third World.
TCI has operated a peer-peer network for some time. In early
2004 the company was looking at upgrading its PCs and analysing
the costs involved. The decision was made to try OfficeAnyplace,
originally on a trial basis.
Within 30 days, TCI had decided that OfficeAnyplace was the
way to go; it meant being spared the expense of buying expensive
new PCs, and staff were now able to work from anywhere in
the world, be it the office, at home, or at on-site at projects
in Africa.
Additionally, TCI was able to collaborate better and more
flexibly. On one project, consulting for the World Bank, TCI
led a team from several organisations analysing the needs
and possibilities of Ecowas. Using OfficeAnyplace, consultants
from these external organisations could be given access to
appropriate data and work on it easily from, literally, anywhere.
TCI's Managing Director, Oliver Andrews, says of OfficeAnyplace;
"For us, OfficeAnyplace has made collaboration a dream.
We've been able to pull together a group working across the
world into one team sharing and using the same data. And we
feel safe knowing that OfficeAnyplace is protecting us from
any computer nasties that are out there."
TCI is now considering whether, using OfficeAnyplace, the
company needs to maintain expensive centralised premises at

Arlington Consultants Group
Arlington Consultants Group is a group of inter-related
companies, which provides an entire Human Resource outsource
package, handling recruitment and training as well as
tailored HR consultancy.
In 2004 Arlington had an aging server and while some of
their PCs were up-to-scratch, several were very slow for
day-to-day usage. Arlington was quoted £8,500 for
upgrading the network as well as an additional £450/month
for support.
Instead, Arlington chose to use OfficeAnyplace. This cut
down on the capital costs and the cost of the group’s
Office Anyplace account is only £360/month. The
old PCs have been revitalised by using OfficeAnyplace.

A member of Arlington Consultants staff will
shortly be starting a family. OfficeAnyplace gives her the
flexibility to go on working as though she were at the office.
At the time of writing this, there was a Tube strike in
Central London but Arlington Consultants Staff could stay
home to avoid its effects and still go on working as usual.
Simon Johnson, Managing Director, is delighted: "OfficeAnyplace
is great. It makes most of our work faster, and we are able
to work from anywhere. When we do have minor problems, the
support is friendly and efficient. And it saves us money;
